The “Categorically Speaking” Slide Show is a virtual walking tour featuring historic elements and architectural details found throughout Bayonne. Included are several categories of signs such as neon signs, hanging signs, ghost ads; a series of row houses; unique architectural features from the beautiful to the “grotesque” as in gargoyles and grotesques; local landmarks; Stephen R. Gregg Park; "Old Broadway"; and a small group we like to call “oddities” found only in Bayonne. The one-hour tour begins with a brief history of Bayonne followed by approximately 50 slides with accompanying narrative. Audience participation is always welcomed. Shows are available most nights and weekends. Special arrangements can be made for a show during the day if a group only meets at that time. PealCollection has their own slide projector and screen and only requests a table for the projector and an electrical outlet nearby. |
