About Us |
|
PealCollection, LLC was formed in the Fall of 2004 when we realized we shared the same passion for our hometown and its history and we both wanted to share that passion with others. “ Peal” represents our initials (Priscilla Ege and Alice Lotosky) and “Collection” was added when we realized we had a ‘collection’ of information, slides, and photos of Bayonne. Over the years, we have been promoting Bayonne through special projects in the name of the Bayonne Historical Society as well as for the Bayonne Town Center (our local shopping district) and the Historic Bergen Point District (the other shopping district located at Bayonne’s southern tip). However, we wanted to take things a step further and branch out on our own by creating a LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) to work for ourselves using our own financial resources. PealCollection also gives us the opportunity to give local history a slightly different slant – one that is informal and enjoyable. We are both active members of the community; Lotosky is a member of the Bayonne Planning Board, a Board of Directors member on the Bayonne Town Center and the Bayonne Community Museum, as well as a member of the Bayonne Historical Society. Ege is also a Bayonne Historical Society member, a Board of Director member on the Bayonne Community Museum and a historian for St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bayonne. PealCollection also belongs to the Society for Commercial Archeology. Lotosky is the former Alice Dowhan married to Paul Lotosky, and Ege is the former Priscilla Kraynack Roda married to Frederick Ege.
